Daniel Hiram Gibson (born February 27, 1986, in Houston, Texas) is an American professional basketball player currently playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the NBA. His nickname, "Boobie," was given to him by his mother.
On June 10, 2008, Gibson had surgery on his ankle in Houston. On July 16, 2008, the Cavaliers signed Gibson to a five-year, $21 million contract.
On November 26, 2008, Gibson scored his 1,000th career point in the Cavs' game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Gibson currently ranks 11th in three-pointers made by a Cavalier (224).
